A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he will be remembered for his sense of humor, incredible patience, and deep compassion.

HAMDEN, CT — (From Sisk Brothers Funeral Home): Freeman A. Pulsifer Jr., 84, of Hamden, devoted husband of the late Patricia Pulsifer, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2024, surrounded by his loving daughters. Born on October 23, 1939, in Norwich, he was son to the late Freeman Arthur, Sr. and Mary Dombrowski Pulsifer.
Frank proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1960-1964. Soon after his return from his service abroad, he would meet the love of his life during a chance encounter on the Block Island Ferry. Frank would become a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Frank had many pastimes. He loved to watch UConn basketball games with Patricia and friends, often following up with his brother-in-law, Timmy, via phone. He was a NY Yankees fan, despite his wife’s love for the Red Sox.

Though unable to hold a steady hand later in life, in his younger years, he was a skilled artist; he enjoyed sketching, watercolor painting, and carpentry. Frank cherished the time he had with his wife, children and grandchildren. He enjoyed summer visits to the Cape, occasional trips to Florida, and everyday moments spent with his closest friends.
Frank will be remembered for his sense of humor, incredible patience, and deep compassion, leaving a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to have known him. With heartfelt sincerity, he took time to show others that he genuinely loved them either through endearing words or actions.
