Obituary: James W. Miller Sr., 80, Of Hamden

HAMDEN, CT — (From North Haven Funeral Home): James W. Miller Sr., 80, of Hamden, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at his home. He was the beloved husband of the late Marilyn Dering Miller. James was born in New Haven on January 16, 1943, and was the son of the late Francis and Loretta Patton Miller.

He had worked as an Operations Manager for Peter Pan Lines for many years. James enjoyed golfing, watching men and women’s UConn basketball, and camping. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren whom he loved unconditionally.

Beloved father of James (Adriana) Miller Jr. and Dawn (Donald) Aceto. Loving Poppy of David Jr. (Mary Beth), Daniel (Tabitha) and James Edward Miller. Great Poppy of Harlee James, Brooklyn Kelly, Caden Joseph King and the late Skylar King. Brother of Margaret “Peggy” Bisighini, Francis “Sonny” Miller (Loretta) and the late Patricia Biondi, Robert Miller and Joanne Calello. Sister-in-law of Gwen and Loretta Miller, and the late Patricia Cervero. Also survived by his beloved nephew and his wife, Frank and (Diana) Dee-Dee Pascale who were always there for him.
