Joe spent many treasured moments traveling, but his special love were the trips to VT where he cherished the feeling of inner peace. Joe was up for any adventure, whether it be a trip to Broadway, Tuscany, a cruise or a family vacation to Disney.

Joe found special joy in his grandchildren, whether cheering at a softball or soccer game, being an enthusiastic audience member at a play, supporting them through a difficult time or sharing a joke or everyday conversation.

Joe touched many lives with his quiet gentleness, acceptance, beautiful smile, non-judgmental ways, giving heart, humility and, most importantly, his genuine ability to share his love.

Joe’s family wishes to express their thanks to the compassionate healing team on NP 7, 11 and 12 at the Smilow Cancer Hospital. A special thank you to Lisa Barbarotta for her extraordinary care and empathy. The peaceful environment at CT Hospice in Branford provided Joe and his family with amazing support and comfort.
