Obituary: Joshua David Cervero, 19, Of Hamden

A volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, he was an avid outdoorsman, loved being outside and was an avid cyclist with Crash Boys International.

HAMDEN, CT — (From W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home): Joshua David Cervero of Hamden died Tuesday July 18, 2023 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Joshua was born February 11, 2004 in New Haven, the son of Jonathan D. Cervero of Hamden and Erica Henry of West Palm Beach, FL.

Joshua was a 2023 high school graduate and was pursuing his education at Pathways Academy studying to become an armed security guard. He volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and was an avid outdoorsman. Joshua loved being outside and was an avid cyclist with Crash Boys International, known as “One Way Josh.”

He was the runner-up in last year’s Crash Boy International games in Philadelphia. Josh died doing what he loved the most. He was greatly loved and will be missed by many.

Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Monday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. in St. John Bosco Parish at St. Therese Church, 105 Leetes Island Road, Branford. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
