HAMDEN, CT — (From North Haven Funeral Home): Kenneth N. Grant, 64, of Hamden, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 8th, 2023, at Yale-New Haven Hospital, with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 36 years to Susan Rivellini Grant.

Ken was born in Norwood, Massachusetts on March 28, 1959, and was the son of the late Waldo L. and Shirley A. Rafuse Grant. He graduated from Hamden High School and earned an associate degree from Albertus Magnus College.

Ken worked for 25 years at Yale University in the IT Department and later for Mandy Management. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, enjoyed gardening, but most of all Ken was a hardworking, giving, and caring person who devoted himself to his family, especially his grandson who he loved unconditionally.

Father of Stephanie M. Grant and Lauren A. Grant. Grandfather of Kameron J. Hutchings. Brother of Gary L. Grant, Ronald L. Grant, Sr. and the late Jeffrey A. Grant. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

The visiting hours will be Sunday, Oct. 15 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Rita’s Church/St. Paul VI Parish, 1620 Whitney Avenue, Hamden on Monday morning, Oct. 16 at 10:30 to attend a Mass of Christian burial. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
