Obituary: Linda Ann Raccio, 77, Of Hamden

HAMDEN, CT — (From Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home): Linda Ann Raccio, 77, entered into eternal life on December 9, 2022, in Palm City, FL. A lifelong resident of Hamden, Linda was born on May 26, 1945, to John and Frances (Russo) Raccio, growing up in the Highwood/Newhallville sections of Hamden.

While raising her 3 children, Linda worked as a CNA at Whitney Center Medical Unit for the Elderly. More than anything, Linda loved her family, friends and people in general.

She was a devoted mother to her three children, Thomas J. Bellonio, JR. of East Haven and his wife Donna, Kimberly Bellonio of Palm City, Florida and John Bellonio of Hamden. She adored her two grandchildren, Carmen and Jake Bellonio.

Linda was predeceased by her four siblings, Pasquale Raccio, Frances Magliochetti, John A. Raccio, Jr, and Joan Novella.

Linda is also survived by her sister-in-law Dolores Raccio and many beloved cousins.

Linda was young at heart, and always ready for a party, and as a result she was the fun Aunt to her numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 8180 Greensboro Drive, Suite 400, McLean, VA 22102, 800-272-3900, (www.Alz.org) which provides help and hope to the millions of families facing Alzheimer’s while also advancing critical research to end the disease. Funeral services will be held at a later date to be determined by the family.
