Obituary: Linda J. D’Alessio, 77, Of Hamden

She taught Audiology as an adjunct faculty member at SCSU, also practiced Audiology in a private ENT office & previously was a social worker

HAMDEN, CT — (From Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home): Linda J. D’Alessio, 77, of Hamden, passed away at Connecticut Hospice on August 17, 2022. Born in New Haven April 20, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Roland G. and Mary I. Quigley D’Alessio. She is survived by her sister, Beth DelGrego of North Haven, two nephews, David DelGrego and Gary DelGrego and his wife Eileen, and a great-niece, Megan DelGrego.

Linda grew up in New Haven before moving to Hamden as an adult, where she lived for nearly 40 years. A lifelong learner, Linda earned her Doctorate in Audiology and taught Audiology as an adjunct faculty member at S.C.S.U. She also practiced Audiology in a private ENT office. She previously was a Social Worker for the State of CT.

She enjoyed studying Italian and recently joined a local Italian Club. When not researching, Linda enjoyed time with her family and her cats.

Friends may visit with Linda’s family on Monday, August 22 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. in BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Avenue, Hamden. Service will be held in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Donations in Linda’s memory may be sent to the Animal Haven, 89 Mill Road, North Haven, CT 06473.
