Obituary: Mary Ann Livieri 73, of Hamden

Mary Ann retired from Yale University School of Medicine after 28 years of service.

Mary Ann Livieri 73, of Hamden, passed away on March 6, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. Mary Ann is the daughter of the late, Stanley and Mary Cusick.

She is survived by her devoted husband Robert (Bob) of 55 years, her daughters, Dina (Seamus, Capt. NHFD) Bohan of Orange, Diane Livieri of Wallingford and her siblings John (Julie) and Gerald Cusick. Mary Ann was also survived by Ronald (Dorcus) Livieri and Linda (Kevin) Berry. Predeceased by siblings Stanley and Ronald (Susan) Cusick and Sister in Laws, Rose and Anne Cusick. Mary Ann leaves behind four adoring grandchildren, Matthew Esposito, Sean, Claire, and Grace Bohan as well as many loving nieces, nephews, family and her dear friends.

Mary Ann retired from Yale University School of Medicine after 28 years of service. She thoroughly enjoyed gardening, cooking and pampering her husband, family and dog, Oliver.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Smilow Cancer Hospital, Dr. Scott Gettinger and Emily Duffield and Connecticut Hospice for their guidance and compassion. A special thank you to her home care providers, Alison and Jen.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rita’s Church, 1620 Whitney Avenue, Hamden Saturday at 10a.m. Burial will immediately follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery, 280 Derby Avenue, West Haven.
