Obituary: Nolan C. Kowaleski, 57, Of Hamden
He was the former co-owner of The Breakfast Nook in North Haven. He also worked as an Executive Chef at Whitney Center in Hamden.

HAMDEN, CT — (From Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home): Nolan C. Kowaleski, 57, of Hamden, passed away peacefully at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by his family on Saturday, February 18. Married for 20 years to Susan Flanagan Kowaleski.
Born in New Haven, son of Jayne Nolan Kowaleski of Northford and the late Richard B. Kowaleski. He was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in West Haven and Green Moutain College in Vermont.
Nolan had a passion for cooking and worked as a chef and caterer for many years. He was the former co-owner of The Breakfast Nook in North Haven. He also worked as an Executive Chef at Whitney Center in Hamden. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus.

Nolan was a loving father to his three sons and enjoyed attending their school activities and sporting events. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons Aidan, Ryan & Dylan Kowaleski; brothers Richard Kowaleski of Westbrook, William (Vicki) Kowaleski Sr. of Meriden and Robert (Lisa) Kowaleski of Northford. Also survived by six nieces, six nephews as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Thomas C. Kowaleski.
Funeral services and burial were privately held.
