Obituary: Paul Brunelli, 52; Formerly Of Hamden

Paul, who grew up playing hockey in Hamden, worked as a landscaper for himself and various local companies. He loved the outdoors.

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home): Paul Brunelli, 52, of Wallingford, formerly of Hamden, died February 4 at Hartford Hospital after a brief illness. He was the loving fiancé of the late Carrie Ann Eburg.

Born in New Haven May 20, 1970, he was the son of Robert & Laurel Martindale Brunelli of Hamden.

Paul worked as a landscaper for himself and various local companies. Paul enjoyed sports, he grew up playing hockey in Hamden, and became an avid Boston Bruins fan.

He loved the outdoors, spending time camping, hiking, and more recently kayaking.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother Robert Brunelli Jr. of Hamden, and a sister Dawn (Michael) Sagar of Arkansas, many cousins, nieces & nephews and a cousin/brother Craig Martindale, his biological mother Carol Ann Atwood and her husband Mark Atwood, and legions of friends, both lifelong and new. He was predeceased by a sister April Brunelli.

Paulie never met a stranger and we are all better for having known him. Friends are invited to attend calling hours FRIDAY from 4 -7 P.M in the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden.

Burial will be private, and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Opportunity House ( www.opportunityhousect.org).
