Obituary: Paul C. Brady, 54, Of Hamden
Paul was a Special Olympian, having participated in the 1995 World Games in New Haven, where he won numerous gold medals.

HAMDEN, CT — (From Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home): Paul Christian Brady passed away peacefully on February 8, 2024, at home surrounded by his family.
Paul was born in New Haven, CT on September 23, 1969 to Dr. James J. Brady and Dorothy A. Brady. He is survived by his brothers and sisters, James, John, Joan (Joe), Harry (Lynne), Katie (Jim), Tom, Stephen (Sheryl), and Mark, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Paul was a lifelong resident of Hamden. He graduated from North Haven High School. He was a faithful parishioner of St. Rita’s Church.

Paul was a Special Olympian, having participated in the 1995 World Games in New Haven, where he won numerous gold medals. He was instrumental in The Doc Brady Golf Classic, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for Special Olympics.
Paul was an avid New York Giants fan. He enjoyed spending vacations in Cape Cod with his family. He loved the music video for “Greased Lightning,” as sung by John Travolta. He also loved mashed potatoes, ravioli, chicken, and Coca-Cola. He loved carrying the flag and leading the 4th of July Parade every year on Bell Island at his cousins John and Liz’s house.

Paul worked for the Goodwill Store in Clinton, CT. He will be remembered as a loving, brave, and patriotic man. His love for his family and the USA was unsurpassed.
Friends are invited to visit with Paul’s family on Tuesday morning, Feb. 13, from 9 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon at St. Rita’s Church, 1620 Whitney Ave., Hamden, followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 3110 Whitney Ave., Hamden.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul’s memory may be sent to Special Olympics of CT, 2666 State St., Suite #1, Hamden, CT 06517.
