Obituary: Radhames Antonio Castillo, 69, Of Hamden
He worked as a helicopter technician for over 20 years and belonged to Blessed Sacrament Church in Hamden.

HAMDEN, CT — (From Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home): Radhames Antonio Castillo, 69, of Hamden, loving husband of Beatrice Almonte Castillo, passed away at home on May 12, 2023. He was born in Bonao, Dominican Republic on January 7, 1954, a son of Amado and Paulina Sorrentino Castillo.
Besides his wife Beatrice and mother Paulina, Radhames is survived by his loving children; Michael, Michelle, and Giancarlo Castillo, his siblings; Mirian, Aracelis, Myra Castillo, Maria Miranda, and Jacqueline Castillo, grandchildren; Sebastian Castillo, Luciano, Christian Carrasco, Ashton, Ava Castillo, his best friend Juan Gutierrez, and his K-9 son “Chewee.” He was predeceased by his father Amado Castillo.
Radhames moved to the U.S. in 1979. He worked as a helicopter technician for over 20 years and belonged to Blessed Sacrament Church in Hamden.

Friends are invited to visit with Radhames’s family on Wednesday, May 17 from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 noon at St. Paul VI Parish-Blessed Sacrament Church Campus, 321 Circular Ave., Hamden.
Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Flowers are welcomed, but to honor his wishes, his family asks that no circular wreaths be ordered and sent to the funeral home.
