Obituary: Robert Christopher Laydon, 55

Robert Christopher Laydon, 55, beloved son of Elmer F. Laydon Jr. of Milford and Carole Anquillare Laydon- McElrath of Hamden, peacefully passed away March 25,2017 In Bristol Hospital.

Also survived by his step father Leland McElrath, step mother Christine Laydon, sisters Ceren Laydon of Hamden and Cathryn Laydon of East Haven, brothers Kevin (Deborah) Laydon of Woodbridge, Elmer Laydon of Orange and Jeffrey (Kristy) Laydon of Woodbridge, step sister Carrie Lee (Vaughn) Georgio of Utah, step brothers Mark (Marilyn) McElrath of North Branford, Matthew (Inez) McElrath of CA and Christopher (Rani) McElrath of TX., aunts and uncle Barbara Legg and Anthony and Joy Parise.

Robert also leaves many nieces and nephews including Brian Laydon, Jennifer Laydon and his most loving niece Megan Laydon. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Elmer and Charlotte Laydon Sr., and Eugene and Stephena Anquillare. Born Nov. 7,1961 in New Haven, he was educated in Cheshire Schools. He enjoyed swimming, music, attending professional sports and had been a Special Olympian, participating in track and field events.
