Obituary: Robert J. Clancey, 61, Of Hamden
"He was loving, kind, generous and a people person. Everyone loved Bob, he was just that kind of guy."

HAMDEN, CT — (From Sisk Brothers Funeral Home): Robert J. Clancey, 61, of Hamden, passed away peacefully, with his loved ones at his side on Nov. 7,2022 after a brave battle with cancer.
He is survived by his beloved longtime companion Harriet Thomas, a sister Patricia C. (Walter) Goad of North Branford and two nephews, Austin (Kayla) Goad and Miles (Michelle) Goad. Also survived by four loving step grandchildren, several aunts, uncles and cousins and many wonderful friends.
He was born Dec. 30,1960 in Bridgeport, CT a son of the late Robert J. Clancey and Jacqueline Robins Clancey, was a graduate of Milford High School and had been employed as an engineer with Lacey Manufacturing. He was a longtime member of the Hamden Elks Lodge # 2224 and the FBSC Social Club.

Bob enjoyed playing cards, golfing, going to the casino, road trips, motorcycle rides, watching all sports, especially football and baseball and being a handyman.
He was loving, kind, generous and a people person. Everyone loved Bob, he was just that kind of guy.

Bob's family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Jill Lacy, Theresa White APRN and the ICU staff at Yale-New Haven Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion.
A Memorial Service will be held Sat., Nov. 19, 2022, at 1 p.m. in Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Family and friends may call at the funeral home prior to the service from 11:00am-1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
