Obituary: Stephanie H. Strout, 87, Of Hamden

HAMDEN, CT — (From B.C. Bailey Funeral Home): Stephanie H. Strout, 87, of Hamden, formerly of Niantic passed away on January 24, 2024. She was the wife of the late Albert B. Strout. Stephanie was born in Meriden on August 19, 1936, a daughter to the late John and Jadwiga (Lach) Stepanski.

Until her retirement, Stephanie was a CNA at the Masonic Healthcare Center in Wallingford and was a member of the Yalesville United Methodist Church in Yalesville.

Stephanie is survived by her children: son and daughter-in-law Douglas and Nancy Strout of Wallingford and son-in-law and daughter Greg and Tami Stanford of Griswold, 14 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two sons: Daniel Strout and Thomas Strout as well as her siblings: Agnes Pierug Stepanski, Sophie Wade, Amelia "Cioci" Stepanski and Joseph Stepanski.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Yalesville United Methodist Church, 8 New Place St., Yalesville. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. It is suggested that gifts in her memory be made to the Masonic Charity Foundation, P.O. Box 70, Wallingford, CT, 06492.
