Obituary: Sukra Kumar Shrestha, 63

Sukra Kumar Shrestha of Branford died Tuesday January 10, 2023 at Yale-New Haven Hospital after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Samaj Maskey Shrestha.

Sukra was born in Nepal April 21, 1959, son of the late Buddhi Prasad Shrestha and Ramkumari Shrestha. He was the owner of the Cumin India Restaurant in Hamden. Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter Sahara Shrestha of Branford, his brother Govinda L. Shrestha, and his sisters, Nira and Bimla Shrestha.

Funeral services Friday morning from 9:00 – 11:00 at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford.
