Last year, on May 15th, 2018, four tornadoes hit Hamden, CT. Many houses were severely damaged by the strong winds. Several sections of the Sleeping Giant Park were totally devastated. For that reason, the park had to be shut down for clean up. Many volunteers did put long hours to help with the cleanup. Today, June 14th, 2019, Sleeping Giant Park was reopened to the public. Cheerful faces and playful dogs adorned the pleasant walk to the tower.
It is good to be back!
