With inclement weather in the forecast, officials announce a parking ban that will be in effect in Hamden.

HAMDEN, CT — A parking ban has been issued for the town of Hamden effective 12 noon on Tuesday, Feb. 12 until further notice, Mayor Curt Balzano Leng and Public Works Director Craig Cesare announced on Monday night. The parking ban prohibits any person to park, or allow to remain parked, any vehicle on any odd numbered portion of a town street or highway.

“The ban further prohibits any person to allow or permit a vehicle to stand or park on any Town street or highway in such a manner as to constitute a hazard or obstruction to vehicular or pedestrian traffic,” according to a press release. “The Hamden Police Department is authorized, pursuant to Section 71.07 of the Code of the Town of Hamden, to remove any vehicle parked in violation of this ordinance. Such removal shall be at the risk and expense of the owner of the vehicle.”
