Parking Ban Issued, Transfer Station Closed In Hamden
With more snow in the forecast, town officials announce that a parking ban will be in effect and the transfer station will be closed.

HAMDEN, CT — A parking ban has been issued for Hamden, effective 12 a.m. on Tuesday, March 13 until further notice, Mayor Curt B. Leng and Public Works Director Craig Cesare announced. The parking ban prohibits any person to park, or allow to remain parked, any vehicle on any odd numbered portion of a town street or highway.
The ban further prohibits any person to allow or permit a vehicle to stand or park on any town street or highway in such a manner as to constitute a hazard or obstruction to vehicular or pedestrian traffic. The Hamden Police Department is authorized, pursuant to Section 71.07 of the Code of the Town of Hamden, to remove any vehicle parked in violation of this ordinance. Such removal shall be at the risk and expense of the owner of the vehicle.
Additionally, the Hamden Transfer Station will be closed, effective March 13, until further notice.
