Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck By Vehicle In Hamden: Police
The pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Sunday afternoon in Hamden.

HAMDEN, CT — A New Haven man was killed after being struck by a vehicle Sunday afternoon in Hamden, according to police.
Police responded to the area of Dixwell Avenue near North Street around 3:30 p.m. on the report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle, according to Detective Sean J. Dolan.
Dolan said the pedestrian was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital where he later died from his injuries. The victim has been identified as Raekwon McLean, 24, of New Haven, Dolan said in an update Monday morning.

The intersection was closed for approximately eight hours while police investigated the scene. The driver has been identified and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation, according to Dolan.
