Pedestrian Seriously Injured In Hit-And-Run: Hamden Police
A 64-year-old woman was taken to the hospital after she was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in Hamden, according to police.
HAMDEN, CT — A 64-year-old woman was hospitalized with serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle while she was crossing the street Wednesday evening in Hamden, according to police.
Police responded to the intersection of Arch Street and Brown Street around 5:45 p.m. on the report of a vehicle leaving the scene with a pedestrian struck, according to Detective Sean J. Dolan.
Dolan said the victim was crossing Bowen Street and struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Arch Street. She was treated at the scene by Hamden Fire Rescue and taken to the hospital.

The suspect vehicle fled the scene heading south on Bowen Street and was described as a newer model, dark-colored sedan, according to Dolan.
Dolan said the vehicle should have front-end damage and possibly a broken windshield.
