Police Cruisers Go Pink For Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Two Hamden police cruisers have been painted pink for the month of October in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

HAMDEN, CT — Two Hamden police cruisers have been painted pink for the month of October in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

On the department’s Facebook page, it says: “This is an idea initiated by the Hamden Police Department to raise awareness for the cure and prevention of breast cancer.

“Early detection is key in combating this disease,” the post continues.

The pink cars have been noticed by residents around the town and the initiative is being applauded by Mayor Curt Leng.

“Special thanks to the Hamden Police Department for this terrific effort toward raising awareness,” said Leng.
