Police Find Loaded Shotgun, Handgun During Traffic Stop: Hamden PD
Two men were arrested on gun charges after being pulled over for speeding, according to police.
HAMDEN, CT — Two Hamden men were arrested on gun charges after police found a loaded 9-mm handgun and a loaded 12-gauge shotgun in the vehicle during a traffic stop, according to Hamden Police.
Police conducted a motor vehicle stop of a car that was traveling at a high rate of speed on Dixwell Avenue at about 11:45 p.m. on Nov. 12, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
Smith said that during the stop, the officer determined that the passenger in the vehicle, Laquane Frasier, was in the possession of a loaded 9-mm handgun.

A subsequent search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a loaded 12-gauge shotgun and a small quantity of marijuana, according to Smith.
Frasier and Jordan Cirino, the operator of the vehicle, were promptly arrested and transported to Hamden Police Headquarters.

Cirino, 20, of Fallon Drive in Hamden, was arrested on charges of criminal possession of a firearm, weapons in a motor vehicle and possession of marijuana. Cirino, who was detained on a $250,000 bond, is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Nov. 28.
Frasier, 20, of Arch Street in Hamden, was charged with criminal possession of a firearm and weapons in a motor vehicle.
