Son Confessed To Killing His Mother: Hamden Police (UPDATED)
The man is being held on a $5 million bond after being charged with his mother's murder, according to police.

HAMDEN, CT — A Hamden man is being held on a $5 million bond after confessing to killing his mother, according to police. Kyle Tucker, 34, of Broadway in Hamden, was arrested Saturday after a search for a missing woman turned into a murder investigation. Donna Tucker, 60, of Broadway, was reported missing by her sister on June 8 and following a thorough investigation Friday night into Saturday, the search transitioned from a missing person complaint to a murder investigation, according to Hamden Police Chief Thomas Wydra.
Wydra announced on Saturday night that Kyle Tucker was arrested on charges of murder and tampering with physical evidence. He is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Monday morning. In a press conference on Sunday afternoon, Wydra said that police had a suspicion about whether Donna Tucker was a missing person or if something else happened to her. Wydra said “instincts took over” and police launched the murder investigation and Kyle Tucker confessed to killing his mother.
Wydra said the investigation is continuing but at this point, the cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head.
