Public Invited to Boomer’s Boo Bash at Quinnipiac
The public is invited to Boomer's Boo Bash, a free Halloween-themed community event, at Quinnipiac University on Oct. 29.

HAMDEN – Quinnipiac University will host Boomer’s Boo Bash, a Halloween-themed community event, on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the academic quadrangle, 275 Mount Carmel Ave. This event is free and open to the public.
In addition, representatives from ProShred, a paper shredding company, will be at Quinnipiac to offer complimentary document shredding (up to five boxes) from 9 a.m. to noon.
“We are so pleased to invite community members, especially those from our hometowns of Hamden and North Haven, to this celebration,” said Bethany Zemba, vice president and chief of staff. “We hope to see visitors of all ages attend—from those who love costumes and candy, to those who’d like to see our outstanding fall athletes compete. We welcome everyone to this season-inspired event.”

Those who attend Boomer’s Boo Bash can participate in various fall activities and game booths run by student-athletes and student organizations while enjoying food trucks, bounce houses, face painting, trick-or-treating, prizes and more. Halloween costumes are encouraged. Quinnipiac also will accept nonperishable food donations for the Hamden Food Bank during the event.
Four Quinnipiac athletic teams will play that day: women’s rugby vs. Mount Saint Mary’s at 1 p.m.; women’s volleyball vs. Fairfield, 1 p.m.; men’s soccer vs. Canisius, 2 p.m.; and women’s ice hockey vs. Colgate at 3 p.m. For more information about team schedules, visit gobobcats.com.
