HAMDEN, Conn. – Nov. 27, 2024 – Quinnipiac University’s student-run Emergency Medical Services, also known as “QU EMS,” received special recognition at the Hamden Fire Department’s awards ceremony on Tuesday, Nov. 26.

QU EMS was honored for “partnership and support in community-based medicine,” in particular for collaborating with the Hamden Police and Fire departments to offer a summer program that was aimed at inspiring careers in public safety.

“This award means a lot, especially since we’ve established such a strong connection with the Hamden Fire Department,” QU EMS member Molly DeMeo said.
