Quinnipiac University students raise more than $100,000 to benefit Connecticut Children's

HAMDEN – Quinnipiac University students danced their hearts out over the weekend and raised $103,956.17 for the patients and families at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center at this year's QTHON dance marathon.
“I am beyond proud of how so many like-minded and passionate college students came together for such a great cause this past Saturday,” said Michaela Bedard, a nursing student and executive director of QTHON. “Whether you are a dancer that fundraised, an advisor that guided us, a friend that supported us or a miracle family that inspired us – thank you. We would not be where we are today without the entire Bobcat Community, to help fundraise and spread awareness for Connecticut Children's.”
The dance marathon was the culmination of a year-long fundraising initiative by more than 1,181 students.

“The successes that QTHON has seen this year and all the money raised by the Bobcat community this year is a true testament to the hard work of everyone involved,” said John Somers, an assistant director of recreation at QU who served as the QTHON advisor. “We are so grateful to everyone who came out to QTHON and all the vendors who volunteered their time and resources to make this event a success.”
