Quinnipiac University to Host “Yawp!" Series
Quinnipiac University to host "Yawp!" series featuring poet Diannely Antigua on March 18

HAMDEN, CT – Poet and educator Diannely Antigua will read excerpts from her poetry collection, "Ugly Music," at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, in the Carl Hansen Student Center, Room 120, on Quinnipiac University’s Mount Carmel Campus.
The event is part of the creative writing program's "Yawp!" series, an open dialogue on creativity and the arts, and is free and open to the public.
Antigua was born and raised in Massachusetts and has a master’s of fine arts from New York University. Her debut collection, “Ugly Music,” was the winner of the Pamet River Prize. She was awarded a Global Research Initiative Fellowship to Florence, Italy, and is the recipient of additional fellowships from CantoMundo, Community of Writers and the Fine Arts Work Center Summer Program. Her poems can be found in Washington Square Review, Bennington Review, and elsewhere.
