Quinnipiac University celebrates Arbor Day with tree plantings, speakers

HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac University celebrated Arbor Day on Friday, April 26 by planting trees at the Albert Schweitzer Institute (ASI), 660 New Road.

In addition, QU student Amada Arroyo talked about the plants in the new Indigenous People’s Garden bed at ASI. Larissa Pitts, assistant professor of history, followed with a discussion about the history of Arbor Day and comparisons to Chinese Arbor Day.
