Quinnipiac University Moves Classes Online Over Coronavirus
Students won't return to campus at the end of spring break as Quinnipiac University transitions to online classes amid Coronavirus concerns.

HAMDEN, CT — Quinnipiac University is moving classes online beginning March 18 and students won’t return to campus until March 22 in an effort to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, officials announced. The school is on spring break this week.
There will be no classes March 16 or 17. Students can choose to remain at home and take classes remotely for the rest of the semester. The university will remain open.
Officials said the university is closely monitoring the latest updates regarding the spread of the virus and “encouraging preventative measures to guard against infection.”

“No individuals at, or associated with, Quinnipiac have tested positive for the coronavirus, nor do we know of any who are quarantined,” according to an announcement on the university’s website. “The university continues to manage rapidly changing developments associated with the coronavirus with a singular focus on the health and well-being of our students, faculty and staff, and the goal of students’ academic completion of the spring semester.
“Eliminating in-person classroom instruction is an important step to minimize potential pathways for community spread of COVID-19 within our QU community.”
