School Safety Vehicle Enforcement Campaign Announced In Hamden: Police

Police said officers will focus much of their efforts in school zones and near bus stops during the enforcement campaign.

HAMDEN, CT — The Hamden Police Department will begin a motor vehicle enforcement campaign on Tuesday, Aug. 23 to “help promote safe driving in town.”

“With the school year quickly approaching, police officers will focus much of their efforts in school zones and near school bus stops,” police wrote in a news release. “Our primary goal will be to achieve voluntary compliance of Connecticut state laws while driving near schools. Please remember to slow down, stay alert and help keep children safe during this school year.”
