Scooter Driver Killed In Crash In Hamden: Police

A scooter operator was killed in a two-vehicle crash early Thursday morning in Hamden, according to police.

HAMDEN, CT — A scooter operator was killed in a two-vehicle crash early Thursday morning in Hamden, according to police.

Police responded to the area of Morse Street and Winchester Avenue around 3:30 a.m. on June 1 on the report of a two-vehicle crash involving a scooter and a Nissan Sentra, according to Sgt. Angela Vey.

Vey said the operator of the scooter, identified as 36-year-old Tanisha Wilson of New Haven, was found unresponsive on the ground.

Wilson was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital where she later died, according to Vey.

The driver of the Nissan Sentra remained at the scene and didn’t report any injuries, Vey said.
