Shots Fired Investigated In Hamden: Police

Police are investigating after the occupants of one vehicle were firing shots at another vehicle Thursday night in Hamden

HAMDEN, CT — Police are investigating after the occupants of one vehicle were firing shots at another vehicle Thursday night in Hamden.

Police responded to the 1600 block of State Street around 8:45 p.m. on the report of shots fired, according to Sgt. Angela Vey.

The complainant told police that she heard four to five gunshots in the front of her home, according to Vey. Officers obtained surveillance video of the incident.

Vey said the initial investigation found that there were two dark colored sedans traveling north on State Street.

“The second vehicle is then seen firing shots at the first vehicle and seven shots in total were heard on the video,” Vey wrote in a news release. “After the shots are fired, the first vehicle continues north on State Street, while the second vehicle does and U-turn and travels south on State Street.”

Six shell casings were recovered at the scene, according to Vey.

Vey said it didn’t appear that there are any injuries, and nothing was struck.
