Shots Fired In Restaurant Parking Lot: Hamden Police
A vehicle was struck by shots that were fired in a restaurant's parking lot in Hamden, according to police.
HAMDEN, CT — A vehicle was recently struck by shots fired in a restaurant parking lot in Hamden, according to police. Members of the Hamden Patrol Division were in the parking lot of Off the Hook, located at 940 Dixwell Avenue, shortly after closing time on March 17 with a large crowd of people, according to Sgt. Anthony Diaz. Officers heard four gunshots from an unknown area of the parking lot, according to Diaz.
Diaz said a single shell casing was located a short time later and officers saw two bullet holes on the passenger side of a vehicle that was parked in the lot. The vehicle’s owner was notified of the damage and there were no reported injuries, according to Diaz.
Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit were notified and will be continuing with the investigation. Officer Timothy McKeon of the Patrol Division conducted the initial investigation.
