Special Brush & Tree Limb Cleanup Continues In Hamden
Public Works crews are "managing an enormous amount of debris across neighborhoods in Hamden" in the storm cleanup, according to officials.

HAMDEN, CT — The town continues to conduct special brush and tree limb cleanups in the wake of Tropical Storm Isaias and the recent tornado that touched down and passed through Hamden in late August.
“Public Works crews remain committed to full-scale removal efforts throughout the town and are managing an enormous amount of debris across neighborhoods in Hamden,” officials wrote in a news release. “Public Works appreciates the patience and understanding of residents as the removal of storm debris is completed. Residents who have already had their brush piles collected should understand that any further bundles for disposal will be the responsibility of the home-owner and will not be collected by Public Works. The Department continues to operate on a ‘single-pass-through’ policy, and as such, residents should ensure their brush is curbside as quickly as possible, if not already.”
“Please be sure to have all of the tree limbs and brush out to the curb in neat piles no more than 6 feet long, as there will be only one opportunity to utilize this added service. Please note that Public Works will only accept brush and tree limbs of manageable size, stumps and tree trunks will not be accepted. Grass and construction debris will not be accepted.”
