Officials are proposing to install traffic enforcement cameras at four busy intersections in Hamden, according to a report.

HAMDEN, CT — Officials are proposing to install traffic enforcement cameras at four undisclosed intersections in Hamden, according to the New Haven Register.

The Register reported that speeding drivers and red-light runners could be fined under the program, which officials said would improve road safety and bring millions of dollars of revenue to town.

Plans for the cameras need to be approved by the Legislative Council and the state Department of Transportation, according to the Register.
