Splash Pad Opening Soon In Hamden
Officials announce the splash pad's official opening date for the 2018 summer season.

HAMDEN, CT — The Splash Pad at Villano Park, located at 260 Mill Rock Road, will officially open for the 2018 summer season on June 29, Mayor Curt Balzano Leng and Public Works Director Craig Cesare announced in a press release. The Splash Pad is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Labor Day.
The Splash Pad is an unsupervised play area, appropriate for ages 2-12, according to officials. The maximum capacity for use at one time is 22 people. Read more Splash Pad rules from the press release below:

Pad may be slippery. Play carefully.

When age appropriate, swim diapers are required.
No electrical devices, glass containers or cans allowed in area.
No chairs, benches, toys, inflatables or foreign objects allowed.
No food or drink allowed.
No running or rough play.
No profane language or disruptive behavior
No climbing on equipment.
Other rules of park apply:
No pets.
No smoking or drinking alcohol.
No bikes, scooters, skateboards or rollerblades.
Splash Pad may be closed at any time due to weather or operational concerns
The Town of Hamden reserves the right to remove anyone who violates the above rules of who engages in illegal, destructive or inappropriate behavior.
