St. Rita Parish To Celebrate 50th Anniversary of Upper Church

This year St. Rita Parish in Hamden celebrates the 50th anniversary of the construction and dedication of the upper church on Whitney Avenue.

The celebration begins May 14 with a novena to St. Rita culminating on her feast day, May 22. On Sunday, May 18, following the 11:30 a.m. Mass, parishioners will dedicate a new statue of St. Rita for the daily Mass chapel and votive lights stand.

Every day during the novena, we will offer special novena prayers; a relic of St. Rita will be available for veneration.
