St. Rita School welcomes you to the best beginning possible.

This developmentally appropriate pre-kindergarten program is designed to stimulate and nurture the spiritual, intellectual, social, and emotional growth of students who are three and four years old. Moreover, learning is relative to each child’s unique personality and learning ability. They provide opportunities for learning in a loving and caring environment where children can explore, discover, question, and succeed.

Why St. Rita School's Pre-Kindergarten program shines.

The three-year-old program's primary focus is to welcome young children to a structured environment, build self-esteem, foster a positive interest in learning, and develop social skills that will prepare them for the four-year-old program. Teachers provide a nurturing environment that focuses on social-em0tional needs and the well-being and happiness of every child.

The goal for children attending the four-year-old program is to acquire the learning and social skills that will prepare them for a successful transition into our highly academic kindergarten.

Both the three-year-old program and the four-year-old program provide group and individualized instruction. Beyond the core curriculum, students in Pre-K 3 attend P.E., music, and library each week. Students in Pre-K 4 attend P.E., music, library, art, and Spanish. The St. Rita School Pre-Kindergarten Program follows the educational standards set forth by the Archdiocese of Hartford, Office of Catholic Schools.

Pre-Kindergarten at St. Rita School is a two-year, structured, pre-academic five-day program. Before Care (7:00–8:30 a.m.) and After Care (2:40–5:30 p.m.) are also available for your convenience (separate fees).
