Steve Sweet of West Haven appointed director of student conduct and community standards at Quinnipiac University

HAMDEN, CT– Steve Sweet of West Haven has been appointed director of student conduct and community standards at Quinnipiac University.
In his new role, Sweet is responsible for providing leadership for the student code of conduct system, updating student policies, serving as the senior student conduct officer and educating members of the university community about their rights and responsibilities.
“I am extremely excited to be joining the Quinnipiac community at this time of dynamic transition and strategic growth for the university,” Sweet said. “I feel strongly that the student conduct process is integral in achieving the goals established in Quinnipiac’s strategic plan, by fostering a campus culture of engaged citizenship, inclusive excellence, holistic wellness, and lifelong learning.”
Sweet comes to Quinnipiac from Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts, where he served as the associate dean of students. Previously, he worked as the assistant dean of students for campus life and Title IX coordinator at the School of International Training (SIT) in Brattleboro, Vermont. During his time at SIT, he also served as the student affairs coordinator. Prior to his work at SIT, Sweet served in several positions at the University of Vermont, including in residence life, student conduct, and conference and event management.
Sweet has a master’s degree in higher education and student affairs administration from the University of Vermont. He also has a bachelor’s degree in history from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh.
