Stop & Shop Launches New Feature At Hamden Store

HAMDEN, CT — Stop & Shop announced Monday the launch of same-day online pick-up for Peapod orders at its Hamden store, located at 2335 Dixwell Avenue.

The new offering provides local customers with a “faster and more convenient way to shop with pick-up available in as little as four hours,” according to a news release. Customers can now place an order on Peapod.com, head to the store, and have a Stop & Shop associate load their groceries right into their car, officials said.

“We’re excited to offer our customers the convenience of shopping online for all their favorite items they can find at our store – and now, they can pick-up their orders in just a few hours,” Store Manager Randy Bellair said. “We know our customers are busy, and we hope this innovation helps make things easier for them.”

To use the new service, customers can visit www.peapod.com and select “Pick-up” at 2335 Dixwell Avenue in Hamden. Customers then head to the store at their chosen pick-up time, park in a designated Pick-Up spot, then call a phone number to let the store team know they have arrived. Stop & Shop’s Hamden team members will then deliver their order right to their car.
