Suspect Held Gun to Clerk's Head During Game Store Robbery: Hamden Police

Hamden Police are investigating the armed robbery of a game store in which four suspects ordered employees to lie on the ground.

HAMDEN, CT — Hamden Police are investigating the armed robbery of the Game X Change, located at 2165 Dixwell Avenue, on Wednesday.

Police responded to the store at about 4:30 p.m. on April 27 and investigation revealed that four individuals entered the business and ordered the employees to lie on the ground, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Smith said one of the individuals, who was in the possession of a firearm, held it to a clerk’s head and threatened to kill him.

An undisclosed amount of money and electronic equipment was stolen in the robbery.

The suspects fled from the store, toward a parking lot located at 60 Connolly Parkway. They subsequently entered a small, “aqua/blue” motor vehicle, with Pennsylvania license plates, according to Smith.
