Two teachers at Hamden High School have tested positive for the coronavirus.
HAMDEN, CT — Two teachers at Hamden High School have tested positive for the coronavirus, according to multiple reports.
The New Haven Independent reports an adult education teacher and a special education teacher are quarantining at home for 14 days after testing positive for the virus.
Adult education classes began at the school Monday and the teachers notified officials of their positive results late Wednesday night, according to the New Haven Register. Hamden High School was closed for the rest of the week for deep cleaning.

No students were in the building this week, the Independent reports.
WTNH News 8 reports officials believe that both teachers contracted the virus by a person in their separate households. The adult education program has moved to a remote learning platform, WTNH reports.
