Teen, 16, Charged In Shooting That Injured Woman Inside Home: Hamden Police
A 16-year-old girl has been charged in connection with a recent shooting in which a bullet entered a home and injured a woman, police said.
HAMDEN, CT — A 16-year-old girl has been charged in connection with a recent shooting in which a bullet entered a home and injured a woman, according to police.
Police responded to the area of Butler Street and Goodrich Street around 10 p.m. on Sept. 24 on reports of shots fired. The preliminary investigation found that there was a shooting between multiple people, according to Detective Sean J. Dolan.
Police also found that a gunshot victim was inside her Butler Street residence at the time of the shooting, according to Dolan.

Dolan said she was struck by a bullet that penetrated the wall of her house and she suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the shoulder. She didn’t appear to be the intended target of the shooting, according to Dolan.
The 16-year-old girl was arrested Thursday and charged with criminal attempt to commit first-degree assault, unlawful discharge of a firearm and carrying a pistol without a permit. She was held on a “Take into Custody Order” and taken to Bridgeport Juvenile Detention, according to Dolan.
