Teen, 16, Missing From Hamden; Silver Alert Issued

HAMDEN, CT — A Silver Alert has been issued for Melanie Ruiz, 16, who has been missing from Hamden since Feb. 5, according to police.

Hamden police are asking for help with finding Ruiz, who officials said is in need of her medication.

Ruiz is 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. She was last seen wearing an all-black “Time A Tell” hoodie, black ripped jeans and orange “Yeezy” sneakers, according to police.

Police said she was last seen Feb. 5 in the area of 13 Blacy Street in Hamden. She is believed to be in the New Haven area, according to police.
