Teens Caught Trespassing At Hamden High School: Police

The teens were arrested after a burglar alarm was activated inside of the school over the weekend.

HAMDEN, CT — Two teens were arrested for trespassing inside of Hamden High School over the weekend, according to police.

At about 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 24, Hamden Police responded to Hamden High School, 2040 Dixwell Avenue, on the report of an active burglar alarm, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Smith said arriving officers located two juveniles inside of the building. Entry was gained through an unsecured exterior door, Smith said.

The juveniles, ages 16 and 17, are both Hamden residents. They were charged with third-degree criminal trespass. They are scheduled to appear in Juvenile Court in New Haven on Oct. 5.
