Teens Charged With Stealing Car: Hamden Police
Police arrested three teens and are looking for a fourth suspect after they were spotted in a stolen car and fled on foot.

HAMDEN, CT — Hamden Police have charged three teens with stealing a car and are looking for a fourth suspect who fled on foot on Sunday evening. Officer Mark Sheppard located a stolen vehicle in the parking lot of 1245 Dixwell Avenue at about 5 p.m. on April 30. There were four individuals in the stolen car at the time, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
The suspects fled on foot as Sheppard approached the vehicle, according to Smith. Sheppard apprehended two of the suspects in the vicinity of Dixwell Avenue and Scott Street. (To sign up for Hamden breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
Sgt. Jason Venditto and his K-9 partner “Viking” conducted a track, which led to the discovery of a third suspect who was hiding near a Gorham Avenue garage.

Smith said the fourth suspect wasn’t located.
The three juveniles, who are 15 and 16 years old, were all arrested and charged with second-degree larceny. They are scheduled to appear in Juvenile Court in New Haven.
