Teens Stole $13K in Merchandise from Hamden Business: Police

Hamden Police arrested two 15-year-old suspects in connection to a recent burglary.

HAMDEN, CT — Two Hamden teenagers are accused of stealing $13,000 worth of items from a Dixwell Avenue business during a recent burglary, according to police.

Hamden Police responded to Millan Affordable Services, located at 1338 Dixwell Avenue, on Oct. 1 on the report of a burglary, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Smith said investigation revealed that entry was gained through the front door. Once inside, numerous items, specifically electronics, were stolen. The stolen merchandise was valued at approximately $13,000, according to Smith.

Detective Donald Remillard conducted an investigation, which led to the application of arrest warrants for two juveniles.

Hamden Police arrested the two juveniles, who are both 15 years old and Hamden residents, on Nov. 7.

The teens, who weren’t identified because of their age, were both charged with third-degree burglary and second-degree larceny.

They are scheduled to appear in Juvenile Court in New Haven.
