Teens Will be Rocking the Shubert Stage!
Don't Stop Believin' in Sacred Heart Academy Musicals! October 20-21, 2023
October 20-21, 2023 – Shubert Theatre, New Haven, CT
Sacred Heart Academy brings ROCK OF AGES, Teen Edition to the stage this October.
Director MaryLee Delaney realized during auditions that most of her 85 person cast had never been to a rock club. The ROCK OF AGES cast is comprised of students from Sacred Heart Academy and talented boys from 12 greater New Haven area high schools. To create an authentic experience for the company, Delaney curated an afternoon of teen rock bands at Crystal Bee’s during an August afternoon. The cast members who attended were able to research their roles in a dynamic way!

All cast and crew members were inspired by the subplot of the show which involves evicting the homeless, and partnered with Columbus House in New Haven to help protect those in need.
