TGI Friday’s Fundraiser To Benefit Team inZANE, March Of Dimes

HAMDEN, CT — A fundraising event in support of a local family and the March of Dimes will take place at TGI Fridays in Hamden on Friday, April 7.

The event is hosted by Ashley Dwyer, whose son Zane was born prematurely 14 weeks early on July 10 2016. He was 1 pound, 12 ounces at birth and spent 83 days in the Yale NICU.

“My husband and I were of course not expecting the toll having a premature baby would take on us; we also weren’t expecting the positive impact it had as well,” Dwyer said. “We made many friends throughout our 83-day stay and one of those was the March of Dimes. My son was discharged on September 30, 2016. After discharge, I made it my mission to help support the March of Dimes and help contribute to research in helping end premature birth.”

Dwyer and her husband will be walking May 7 in Zane’s honor and the event at TGI Friday’s will benefit Team inZANE.

The April 7 event will run all day at TGI Friday’s, located at 2335 Dixwell Avenue in Hamden, and 20-percent of your food purchase will go to Zane’s team, as long as you present the flyer (below) on your smartphone or on paper.

Dwyer and her husband will be arriving at the event around 4 p.m. with Zane and there will be raffles, a jewelry sale at the event and a D.J. arriving at 6 p.m.
